Meet VIcki, Jeff, and Anthony

Anthony and his Bigs, Vicki, and Jeff, were matched back in 2017 in our school-based program. Jeff and Vicki have two children of their own and want to continue to spend time with kids and have fun experiences together. Over time their relationship blossomed and they moved to our community-based program where they have had a plethora of adventures ever since. From going to parks, and games, their favorite to do has become having Anthony over to make dinner, and play board games together! Anthony had the opportunity to attend the Blue Jackets game with Jeff and Vicki, meet the coach, and see the locker rooms on behalf of BBBS. Over the years Anthony has grown in his self-confidence, and Jeff and Vicki are looking forward to many more years together as he grows and enters high school soon!

On Thursday May 9th, 10 matches volunteered at the Harmony Project’s Concert for Humanity. The Littles were rock stars as they passed out t-shirts and interacted wtih the community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event.

Paint your own pottery match meetup

Date: Saturday June 8, 2024

Time: 430pm-730pm (estimated time to finish is 2-2.5 hours)

Location: Clay Street Ceramics 13 N. Westmoor, Columbus, Ohio 43204

Cost: $2 studio fee per person. 10% off pottery. Big will be expected to cover the cost. Families are able to send money for their child’s piece, but not expected.

Estimated cost per piece:

$15-17 for child’s item

$15-25 for adult’s piece

Light snacks will be provided.
